May 1st: Open Day at SECH
After the experience of 2013, May 1st is the new Open Day at SECH in the Port of Genoa. Yards open to terminal employees’ families not only to celebrate Labour Day but also World Workplace Health and Safety Day, instituted by the International Labour Organization. The life and working of the terminal are also explained to kids using animations and entertainment provided by Music for Peace and Associazione Porto dei Piccoli. The latter, founded in 2005 by Gloria Camurati, works closely with the nephrology and dialysis department of Gaslini Hospital to bring the culture of the sea, the port and nature to children in hospital and their families.
